Maureen Bell
|
Maureen
Bell has a diverse background.
A broadcaster of folk music
programmes. Maureen is also a competent and humourous speaker and combines this with her singing skills to present a formatted talk, 'Tae The Lasses'. The talk is based on the women in her book of the same name and is liberally sprinkled with snatches of some of the songs which Burns wrote for them. These talks are often combined with workshops at which the participants may learn a Burns or Scots song or two. Burns and Scottish Cultural Associations at home and abroad are invited to enquire about Maureen's availability. A short tour of North America is being arranged for 2003. Please contact Sleepytown by email with details of your interest. Thank you. E-MAIL BACK TO BOOKS BOOK REVIEWS |
